Our path is not left, not right, but onward.

Who Are We?
We are an all-volunteer staff. We are regular people who work at regular jobs, professions and small businesses. We have families and children. Many of us have only recently become politically active because we are alarmed at the changes that are adversely affecting our neighborhoods and communities. We are part of a growing progressive grassroots movement, both nationally and across Oregon. Our sister program in Oregon is the Bus Project.

What we Can do Together
We will provide information and keep you posted on current issues and how they affect you. We will keep a directory of relevant information on many issues and a searchable directory  of progressive non-profit groups in Oregon.

• We will show you how you can exercise your voice as a citizen. We will help you find or contact your state or national elected officials . We will help you become a more effective advocate for your community's agenda.
• We will give you the information you need to talk to your families, neighbors and friends and the methods for success.
• We will send you occasional email action alerts (once-monthly usually, never more than once-weekly) so you can join with fellow progressive Oregonians to have a real impact. Often, it takes just a click or two. See our current or past action items.
• We seek your input: What's important to you? How can we be of help in your community? What resources can we provide? Help us choose our future action items, or suggest resources.

How much influence can we have?
You can make a difference when you act with others. Onward Oregon currently has thousands of members. Legislators and policy makers are not used to hearing from their constituents in such large numbers and they are often shocked to realize that their actions are so visible.  We have already managed to sway votes, affect policy decisions and un-do many 'done deals.'  Read all about our many success stories and join with us in moving Oregon forward.
